Natural Park of Maremma 

hills to Uccellina

from Manciano to arrive at Alberese, going towards Grosseto, are about 50 km, 45 by car

The Maremma Natural Park is located in the province of Grosseto, in the south coast of Tuscany. The park includes a coastline of about 9,800 acres, stretching from Principina a Mare (north) to Talamone (to the south). The central area of ​​the parcoè characterized by the Mounts dell'Uccellina, a chain of hills parallel to the coast, covered with Mediterranean vegetation. Of great interest and beauty is also the pinewood of Marina di Alberese.

From a naturalistic point of view the area of ​​the park is an individual interesting mosaic ofecosystems modeled in part, in past centuries, man without degrading it. The coast extends for about 20 km, is a succession of sandy coastline from the mouth Ombrone to Cala di Forno.

It is rich fauna that over the horse and cows Maremma wild boar are over porcupines, foxes, badgers, roe deer and fallow deer, while about 50 are species of birds including migratory and resident.
